MORE!!! Lovin em folks! The few loops & bumps I have seem relatively tame to those shown off here, I'll see if i can't dig an interesting bugger up today

all hair will dread naturally given the proper conditions & enough time. i think you need more time. mine took months before a knot formed, some do but it's more rare. trust that it'll happen, forget about your hair & your want of dreads & just let it go. keep it washed & wait. it'll come when you least expect it & surprise you & it'll be amazing.
time. 4 months is super early & the front takes longer. give em time & they'll get there
maybe you should try the bar shampoo? i preferred the bar over the liquid & noticed more progress after i had switched (but it could have just been the timing). & you could try "mermaiding" in the tub instead of using any direct pressure (just swish your hair around in the water). some progress is better than nothing or reversed progress tho! you may just have a slower timeline, mine was :D try not to fret on it, just relax & enjoy the journey, love you hair for what is does or doesn't do, they absolutely WILL get there in time :D

I mean I've seen a tiny bit of progress, it's just been almost a year
washing with the locking up shampoo, gently squeeze it into the dreads and over my scalp then rinse it out with water at a low pressure on it
air dry
those look just fine. if you haven't seen continued progress tho how are you washing & drying?
time. they are well worth the wait. mine took forever! i only had a tangle (that's right JUST ONE!) at 6 months in. some of our journeys take more time than others, don't be discouraged, they all get there given time. i do enjoy the dreadlockshampoo.com bars more than i did the liquid, it wouldn't hurt to try em!
they will all look like dreads in the end they will get all sorts of varying sizes & some tips may stay wispy & thin & others may blunt & fatten. it's all good! the more you vary the tnr the less it looks like braids, but even actual braids will loosen & knot & look like dreads given time. you don't even have to tnr the rest, seems like they are sectioned just fine. the main thing is be sure to get all that wax out! happy dreading <3
i don't know about their shampoo advice but they had some horrible maintenance advice before so i stopped looking there for any good info.

I don't know how credible ragingrootsstudio is but this is what they said about the dreadlockshampoo bars: "The dreadlockshampoo.com bars did not even pass the initial body wash test and left a VERY visible build-up. I LOVE the smell of it and still use it occasionally as a body wash , but I will never let it touch my hair!"
try the bars! i had the same thing, i got the liquid thinking i'd be knotting up in no time & i lost some of the very little progress i had made i saved the rest of the liquid until my knots had formed better & used it then but i used the baking soda/apple cider vinegar for the most part until i had solid knots staying in, & i used one bar every once in a while.

I had bought the dragon's blood liquid. It smelled SO good but seemed to unknot my hair
