ANY ONE ELSE PLAGUED BY CANDIDA???

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Cheers Angel Frye :D,

I will be checking out the soapnut bath and I think I may have to rustle up some of that boo boo cream too! The cream I was given was called 'Daktarin' with the active ingredient being miconazole nitrate. It just seems to be an anti fungal cream according to google and the packaging,

ANY ONE ELSE PLAGUED BY CANDIDA???

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I actually went to my doctor about this, he gave me a cream which got rid of the skin problem for a couple of months but it is back now. I'm glad I've found this discussion, I'm going to try changing my diet. I'm really rather worried reading about this as I keep finding myself with ailments of which amongst the causes are diabetes (Candida being one of them) . Changing up my diet probably isn't such a bad idea anyway, I do indulge in an excess of sugary foods!

A hello and an introduction :)

Introduce Yourself

Hey :),

Just thought it was about time I introduced myself, I have been waiting until I could get some batteries for me camera so I could take a couple of pictures of my hair. Anyway, my name is George and I love natty dreadlocks :) the few dreadlocks that I have on my head all come from me simply not brushing my hair and thusly they are very messy, just how I like them! Also I just noticed that the dates on the photos says that they are from 2007 or something... I just took them about 20 minutes ago, I just haven't changed the date on the camera!

Much love and thanks for this website existing!

George :D

rastafarian education?

History and Religious Significance

I'm just aware that Rasta takes many forms, one rasta might say that rasta is about unity, another might say it's alot to do with empowerment of the african people. As many spiritualities have divides and within a structure, so to does Rastafari. For instance the mansions of Rastafari; 12 tribes of Israel, Bobo Ashanti and Nyabinghi, they live their lives differently to each other while still all being rasta. I know alot of people who use the bibleas a source of moral code and conduct while claiming Rastafari, I personally believe it's much more internal, it's a very personal thing I think!

rastafarian education?

History and Religious Significance

Rasta is a doorway, it encourages you to look at yourself as a part of the world and a part of nature. The internet will tell you that 'Rastafarians' believe that Haile Selassie I is God (Ras Tafari is the emperors name) but if you take the plunge remember that no matter how much someone tells you it's about reading the bible everyday and following rules it is actually the internal reflection that is the point. We as a people are part of nature, natty men and women.

This is what I have taken from Rastafari, no doubt people won't agree but that's what reasoning is for, reasoning is another key component of Rasta! Meditation and Reasoning are the best ways to learn about Rastafari!!!
