I did TnR myself. I thought it was fun having others contribute, but if you do, make sure you show them how and have them watch a YT vid and check their progress as they do it. Otherwise maybe not what you want. However you decide to start your journey, via total neglect or TnR, I wish you fun! You will learn about yourself as they progress, and all of the emotions that go along with it. It is much more involved and enjoyable than I had ever anticipated! Good luck!
I have been smudged by others, but have never done it myself. I think it's time! And I love the idea of doing it at drum circle, too. I have only ever been to an indoor circle, but this summer hope to take it outside.
Hi Sweetie
Sorry you have had a bumpy go due to your friend's husband. Friends come into our lives for a reason or a season or both, and when the purpose has been served, sometimes we have to just let 'em go. Can be painful, I know. The fact that your journeys now diverge in no way diminishes the lessons and joys you have shared.
((hugs)) from the Hinterlands!
The key element is PATIENCE. Your hair will dread. It will look awesome, eventually. Even during the journey you can decide for yourself that they look awesome! Embrace the scraggly, loopy, uneven, fun and you will enjoy the journey all the more!
Cheers.
She is both beautiful and young. Hopefully she is into self-exploration, so she can learn what kind of person would be good for her, rather than just the type of person she is generally attracted to. Our wants and needs are often in opposition to each other where relationships are concerned; we usually choose someone with the subconscious desire of healing our own parent/child issues, without even knowing it. This can be true of all relationships we choose, not just romantic. Good luck to her, she is fortunate to have such a caring friend!
I absolutely love how happy you look in the pic with the young child! Your happiness is tangible. Blessings as you continue your journey, your locks look great! Love the color.
LOL @c21... why are you shouting, bro? I hear you all the way over in the Hinterlands...
I live in Canada. I have thus far only had great responses (other than my parents, who are in their 70s). Oh, and one VERY drunk guy in a pub told me I had a lovely tree growing on top of my head. HAHAHA! I had to laugh at that one...
Interesting. Thanks for the insights. People are either open minded and ready to accept things at the current point in their journey, or they are not yet ready to do so. It is no reflection on anyone else; it is simply where they are at. I don't believe it is my job to educate others, simply to live my life with love. I will do my best when people confront me with their own ignorance to simply respond in love. Even when I want to hit them over the head with a blunt object.
