my dreads are really flat because i lay on them, palm rolling seems to help, but i was told its unnecessary. is there anything i can do to round them?

ok thank you much! its really hard to seperate some.....theyre pretty locked. i hear my hair start ripping on a few of them....should i just rip my hair then?

Help! Save My Dreads
I've been dreading for about a month and a half now. I have loops, S's and my dreads are even matting up at the roots. i've tried seperating them, but they're pretty locked in together. i think its because i don't palm roll religiously. i've added some photos so you can get a better idea. is there ANYTHING i can do to fix this? [and please don't say that i have to re-do them, because that's not happening!!]

I was wondering if its possible to shorten your dreads? once mine get too long, will i be able to cut them shorter with out having to blunt my tips?
