Such thing as too small of a section?

Dread Maintenance

@soaring-eagle ok awesome! I’ll just let them do what they want. I just wanted to make sure they’re strong enough. Thank you for easing my nerves! 🙃

Such thing as too small of a section?

Dread Maintenance

This is a photo of my whole head. Not sure if you can see it, but when dry those obvious sections start breaking into smaller sections. I am 4 months in by the way.

Such thing as too small of a section?

Dread Maintenance

Here’s a photo of one big section that automatically started breaking into 3. Should I leave it? Would love some input. I’m a little scared that the smaller sections wouldn’t be sturdy enough.

Dread Maintenance

My established sections keep breaking down into tinier sections. Like REALLY tiny. I would say it’s half a width of a pencil. Is this too tiny? Should I wait it out, and see? Or should combine them later on if too small?

To the people whos had multiple sets of locks

General Questions

@soaring-eagle hmmm that’s right.. ok so let me change the question. If all you do is separate, and into the exact same sizes, would each set be the same?

To the people whos had multiple sets of locks

General Questions

Hello Everybody! So last night when I was smoking fat, I was in deep thought about dreads, and how they form into what they want to become; no matter what. This is really a question to those who have had more than one set of locks.

Well, did each one of your sets end up looking exactly the same? Regardless of any starting methods, etc?

Im just curious to see if our hair has its own genetic imprint on how it wants to/will always look like. If that makes any sense??? Lol I’m not sure if anyone’s ever asked this, but I thought it would be a fun topic.

TnR Question

General Questions

@soaring-eagle yeah I’m just letting it be. Thanks for responding. I just uploaded some photos so you can take a look at them. I’m pretty happy with them! I love them and their messiness. @lunakat13 Wow 2 years! Love that! I don’t know about you but I love how squiggly dreads look. I’m all about the no maintenance look. I prefer it more than the overly neat look. But that’s just me. :)

TnR Question

General Questions

Hello!! I’m new here, and I just started TnR’ing my hair. It’s going pretty good but some of the first sections I have done are very loose and have some holes since I just started learning how to do the TnR method, and i made it more braided like so those parts became holes. Should I undo those dreads with loose holes, or should I just leave them be?
