My dreads suck a** (with pictures)
Dread Maintenance
IT actually looks like you've still got a decent amount of volume in your hair which is good. Glad you're happier now.
I sure am. Thanks a lot.
Hey, thank you.Β
I did do my homework before getting dreadlocks. I read about pros and cons, maintenance and so on, but decided to get them anyways. I guess I was expecting them to look incredible on the first day, but like you said, it's a journey. I also enjoy swimming and wearing beanies and caps a lot. It's a different story with dreads, because none of my headwear fitted me at all, but maybe that just beats the purpose of having dreads in the first place. Dandruff is another thing I had to deal with. Now I got a bunch of essential oils accumulating dust in some drawer, lmao.
I'm going to try again after I've given my hair some time to recover. It'll be longer by then, too. That's a good thing. The fact that my hair shrunk almost in half discouraged me a lot. It made me realize that it might be a couple years before they get to a length I'm comfortable with, considering that my hair is quite thin and sparse.
What method did you use? Your dreads are awesome, you look great!
I really appreciate your comment. If I ever try again, I'll make sure to post about it on this board.
Much love.
