It arrived in the UK and has left the UK airport. Won't be long. I'm astonished at the shipping time from the US. My last order took almost a month.

Damn dude. Your story resonates. I have no personal experience with what you went through but you sound like a very wise man who has only grew stronger in life. I get that impression from reading your stuff. The world needs a lot more "elders" to guide the young. Kudos.
My girlfriend doesn't like them either. 10 year relationship so it's a long one. But she knows I will not cut them off and I think she's just getting used to the idea. She still looks at me in a strange way at times. I told my son if he gets A's in his Math and English exams I'll order him some liquid and he can start right after his exams. Gives him 4 months to get it started before he starts school again.
I have never been happier in my life since I started my journey. It's changed who I am from the inside. I could never let another persons opinion break that happiness. I think this journey teaches you to gain the strength to ignore what other people think about you. That is a good character trait to have imho.

Shipping is very fast from the US to UK. I checked this morning and it has left Heathrow airport on route to my local sorting center. Will likely have it here for Friday or tomorrow. Crazy fast.

Ah that makes sense. I've got the liquid coming so I'll just stick to that. When I used the spray before it was very dry as you could tell from the sideshow bob look. It also lost its brown color and looked a very light brown.
Been towel rubbing for almost 2 months. If I stop, will my hair continue to lock up?

I had to double glance because you got a squirrel sitting on your head! That's awesome. How did you manage to keep him there?
I can only dream to one day have dreads like that. I love that dread wrapped look too. Does it feel heavy on the head when wrapped like that?

Great advice there thank you! I don't let their opinion affect my decision because there is zero chance of me cutting my hair. You're right though @tash there's a lot of positive feelings that far outweigh any minor negatives. If anything it shows a lack of understanding or acceptance on their part. @soaringeagle that's a nice plot twist! My partner was similar, I showed her your dreads and many others from here and she's quite impressed now. I wouldn't be surprised if she decides to do it. My son wants to, but mom is saying not at the moment. He's 11. I think it's a great idea especially now he has the school holidays coming up. But she not so much.
