I’ve had my dreads for about 3 months now My hair is very thin. The ends aren’t dreading super well, is that something I should be worried about? And is there anything I could/should do about loose hairs?

I started my dreads about a month or so ago and one of the roots completely undreaded about halfway down the dread and it sticks up when I’m not wearing a hat / don’t have them pulled back. What can I do to fix it?
