hi ho

Introduce Yourself

I only used the jar one time. We haven’t used it again since. It’s some Jamaican stuff.

I know my boss can’t legally say anything, but she’s more than just my boss. Personal choice to just wait until I leave. It won’t be much longer now.

Thank you for your advice. I’ll take the remaining rubber bands out.

Help! Save My Dreads

That’s the shampoo I liked the first time I did dreads. I had liked it but I only tried the liquid.

Introduce Yourself

Hello!! My name is Kimi and I’m a noob!

Legitimately though, I’ve only had my dreads for about 5 months or so now, this is my second round with them. The first they lasted nearly a year.

I only have half my head done currently because I’m a waitress and a little prideful of my hair and my boss would have a cow anyhow, but soon I’ll be working from home and I want to do the rest of my hair.

When having created my dreads, my husband did them for me. He’s had his for 2-3 years. We used some sort of jarred stuff. I’d have to go look to see what it is but he says it’s not wax. But we used a back combing method along with rubber bands. I currently have 4 still in rubber bands because we recently added a few more.

My current issue with my dreads... I want more, I want them to grow, tighten and become round because right now they’re looking pretty darn flat.

So that’s me. Thanks for reading and any tips or anything is more than welcomed. For now, it’s time to go feed a baby ✌🏼

Help! Save My Dreads

I’m not sure if there’s already a thread on this but it’s late at night and I came across this forum and figured someone here might be able to help!

so my husband has had his dreads for 2-3 years. He just recently started using a dreadlock shampoo(of course my idea 😂). Before he was using Dawn.

well I’m much like a monkey and I like picking throuhh his hair, while picking through his, I noticed huge flakes coming off his scalp. Huge is an understatement... but anyway, he has bad dandruff and itchy scalp. I did some research and put rosemary, tea tree and water into a spray bottle but he says it didn’t help.

So any ideas on how I could help his poor scalp? If more info is needed on his haircare routine or anything, I’d be happy to answer so we can try to find a fix. Thank you for your time and help!
