Should I Be Concerned???

General Questions

Are these twists in my hair going to be OK?!?

I used the TnR method and was planning to crochet around the dreads, but have decided to just neglect them from here on out.  After getting some pretty negative feedback I'm crazy concerned that the twists won't dread.

Is there anything I can do that doesn't involve combing them out and starting over?

New Locs, First Wash

Dread Maintenance

FemalePheromones:
I haven't shampooed my hair in over 2 weeks now and it feels great.

I just rinse in the shower every couple of days.

Nice!! I'm going to wait until my roots need a wash to do anything, I think. I have a TON of hair, but it's super fine. It's usually super greasy after day 3 of no washing, but I think the initial baking soda and ACV wash really helped that out, for now. I won't be doing that again, but I'm def glad I started with it.

www.dreadlockshampoo.com is what most around here recommend the liquid makes it dread fast

es wash mostly the roots then rinse through the hair

crochet was a bad idea as you realize, but if you have band in any...remove them

how long did you wait to wash theres no need to wait, you can wash as often as desired from day 1

Thanks!! I just wasn't sure whether to use the bat all the way down my locs or not. I haven't washed at all, yet. Really no need. But good to know I don't have to wait!

No, no. I don't have elastic bands in my hair. The few I did crochet seem to have tight bands of hair around the loc and the crocheted roots are super tight. I will definitely not be crocheting any more!

Dread Maintenance

On my first wash, do I wash my locs or just scalp? They are obviously pretty loose since noticing tight bands and overly tight roots on the few I crocheted I've decided to just let them do their thing.

Preface- I was using Dr Bronner's liquid castile for a week before dreading and started to notice a film in my hair. (apparently this isn't good for hard water) 3 days ago, when I started dreading, I washed with my regular shampoo to get the castle gunk out and followed up with a BC wash and ACV rinse to basically strip my hair. I'm not seeing any grease, dandruff, or even itch scalp at all yet, so I'm planning to wash with a Dollylocks bar in another 3-4 days, or whenever my hair decides to need it.
