accessorizing baby dreads

Dread Accessories

i find beads help tremendously in the dreading process. my dreadies are getting thicker even though they started out pretty thin. i just make sure to move the beads around before they get stuck. but seriously they help a lot. some of my most cylindrical and knotted dreads had beads on them early on (i used tnr also by the way).

Alone......

General Talk

im sorry so many people suck, bro. if i was confronted verbally like that im not sure what i would do. maybe just stare at them and then walk away. i feel like silence in that situation definitely makes the asshole think about what they said. stay positive :) we all love you

flat dreads?

General Talk

if you're too impatient to just wait for them to round out like se said, a peyote sleeve should help a little...i mean, it's like putting your dread in a tube. it's bound to do something along the lines of rounding it out. you can make one yourself or order one from one of the people on this site that sells them. but yeah, flat dreads rock just as much as round ones. :)

Review - Tam and sleeves from Earthiest (HippyFish.etsy.com)

Dread Accessories

To anyone thinking about getting something from HippyFish/Earthiest, DO IT. These are really quality products that I'm sure will last a very long time, and the price is completely reasonable. Her tams are made from 100% virgin wool and the one I purchased is a perfect size for younger dreadies like mine that still have growing to do. All of my dreads fit inside the tam with some room to spare (my hair is passed my shoulder). And the peyote sleeves feel very tight and secure. Overall both products are very well-finished and I would definitely get more in the future.

Here are some pictures:

Look at the color on that one! ^^^

Happy journeys :)

dreadlocks shampoo review after extended use

Dread Products

I was finally able to use my dread shampoo bar the other day, and it was everything i expected based on the reviews given here. like se said it left my hair so light-feeling and fluffy. usually after a wash they are very heavy and dense, but this shampoo gave my hair a lot of volume, which was great. tonight is wash night, but i could definitely go another day without washing if i wanted to because my scalp is not greasy and my hair is still fluffy from the shampoo. and for once my dreads smell like something other than hair ( i got the satsuma - citrusy one) because all the residue free shampoos leave no scent. just another pro to this shampoo! and one more thing that i really liked was how easy it was to lather it up in my hair/scalp. i just rubbed the bar in a couple of places around my scalp and that was enough to wash my whole head. i hope the seller could see all of these positive reviews about her soap! i am definitely sticking to this for as long as i can. A+!
