Have some questions about wearing a hard hat ( begining dreads)

General Questions

I started just started my dreads i used the towel rub method to kinda get some hair locked up and now im just letting them go. At work i have to wear a hard hat, I work in the morning and my hair is still wet from washing it with Dr. Broners when i put on my hard hat. After a little while of this all my hair begins to become a big mat and later in the day i have to seperate everything. I guess my question is, is this bad for them and what can i do if it is ?

My journey ( 2 Month) or a little more. :)

Member Journals and Timelines

I'm new here and new to dreading. I've started us ing the towel rub method and just rubbing these littleguys after to separate them. I wash my hair everyday using Dr. Broners liquid shampoo. . I don't really have a profound reason or spiritual reason why I stared dreading, just always something I wanted to do. I just wanted to keep track of a time line and watch them evolve into something beautiful. Tips and advise more then welcome! Thanks for watching with me!

Day 10 Side Back
Absolutely love how they are coming in! I also started to use a tightening spray.

So I'm around 1 month. A little longer.

The little thin guys are starting to congo with the other little guys.

Sorry For these photos, I didn't have anyone to take them this time.

My hair is also getting allot longer now :)

Had a awesome hair day one of the days and had to take a photo of it! Hair is still going strong, not seeing allot of progress but some :)
