My Dread Journey-

Member Journals and Timelines

28-10-13 : I decided i wanted dreads so i started.

I always wanted dreads from a kid but i couldn't grow them cause of school i had to attend and then the army, and the culture in cyprus is quite strict for dreads. This is when i decided to not give a damn and i started this awesome journey that changed me to the better in so many ways! Wink

The Beginning

2nd month into my crotcheted Dreads

on the 3rd month is stopped using the hook and let it go by itself thanks to this site and all who gave me helpful information about crotecht

4 Months

5 Months

This is one of my favourite time of the journey, with a crazy hairstyle Happy

7 Months

10 Months

 11 Months

So far i've been enjoying watching them grow, but i have 1 question. What do i do about the dreads on top of my head they are dreaded on the top but really thin on the root, what do i have to do or do i just have to wait? I haven't used crochet hook at all on top of  my head, any help? Happy

*Sorry for the images i couldnt find how to make them show on the forum =/*

General Talk

This guy is not considered a troll, for me he is just a jealous egoistical hater. He is promoting locticians, which is basically a big ass scam. You are promoting the natural way that basically discards the only thing locticians do, shit loads of maintanance and the prices are ridicoulous.Haters are gonna be haters there is nothing to do, Hater leaders also have hater minions.Im actualy really happy i came across this site, because it all truth and not sonsensescams. I go with the flow with all these haters everywhere, no point wasting precious time. This is my opinion, most of my friends and i enjoy being trolls when needed and haters are not in the same group. This guy fucked the SOLE point of what trolls are and is prpbably trolling himself.

Managing my neglected dreads....

Dread Maintenance

Your dreads look amazing, i had my back of my head done with crotchet and i let my top head do its own thing and i feel so much better about them becoming dreads. My friend that used the crotchet on me is already moaning that they are not comfortable and look messy, she thinks its the dreads in general that cause itchiness and pain from strecthing. As derek said most of the time they dont understand or too selfish to admit it. :-)

What to do with my crotchet dreads??

Dread Maintenance

I done most of my back head using crotchet and im letting my top head to do its own thing. Should i comb them out if possible or the roots can still dread if left alone long enough. So far they are not causing any problems for me and they feel quite comfy. Its probably a pointless question but i would like your opinolions :-)

Hello! Dreads are awesome!

Introduce Yourself

Hello my name is george, i started my dreads 4 months ago as soon as i finished the army duties in my country :/My cousin started using crotchet hook and the maintainance needed was stupid then i did some research amd here i am. I stopped using the crotchet about 2 -3 weeks ago and the hair is all fuzzy but i dont mind it just needs patience. My question is should i start it off with TnR or let it be? My hair is not that long but long enough.
