Washing with Dish Soap? Like Dawn?

Dreading Methods

I'm not sure about the dish soap idea but I understand where you are coming from when you talk about having greasy hair as I have extremely greasy hair. I find that after I wash it, the next day it is greasy again. At the moment it's a no win situation but I have heard that eventually your hair does get used to the situation it is in and will hopefully adapt. I use a shampoo that says it rinses clean, I used to use the baking soda mix but founnd that it actually did nothing at all to my hair :( I hope this helps :)

Vaseline on Dreads

Dread Products

Thanks for the reply :)

I don't know why he recommended it, he obviously thinks I have the same problem as him :)

Sean Jones said:

Yes I agree with eagle. Vaseline is way too greasy and heavy. It's gunk up your head.

My favorite product is Urielpure Best Dreds . It is all natural, stops any itch, and nourishes your scalp in a great way.

I also prefer an oil mix over vaseline if you are looking to make your own thing.

Fight the good fight!

Greasy neglect dreads

Help! Save My Dreads

So I have been dreading my hair for about three months, they are coming along rather nicely but are very greasy andI get a lot of loose hairs that fall out so I'm wondering if my dreads are growing or tightening at all. I use a natural bar soap to washevery 2/3 daysand have tried the bs rinse, acv rinse and sea salt rinse, none of which help to make my hair less greasy :( Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? xxx
