Mold?

Help! Save My Dreads

So. My dreads are not smelling like wet dog or a wet towel, but right at the scalp my dreads are a little more thick and a little oily. They don't smell particular bad but, they smell... Well oily and a little like teatree oil, because all of my dread shampoos have teatree oil in em', though i always make sure to wash and dry my dreads completely, the drying part is a little hard though because i live in a cold and kinda rainy country with not much sun. Nevertheless, the other day when i seperated one of them by the scalp there was this grey-blue-green-ish stuff. It looked a little like fine dust or lint or something. But it still doesn't smell particular bad. Could this be mold, because then i should probably do something about it very soon.

Please help me, i do not want to cut of my hairy angels!

Itchy dreads?

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Hi fellow dreadheads. So, i've had my dreads for about a year now and i Think they look Nice, but they're itching a lot, which have caused me to scratch my scalp so much it started to bleed a little. At first i thought i might have lice, so i started usling all kinds of licekilling cures bur nothing has seemed to help. So i started to notice that i had a lot of dandruff, and at that time, i had just used normal neutral shampoo, so i thought that maybe the shampoo had left some residue in my dreads causing dandruff and because of that the bad itch, but even though i've been using a special dreadlock shampoo, designed to Remove dandruff and residue, nothing have helped. The itch is so bad that im considering cutting them off. Doris anyone know what this might be, and what do you do about it?Cil
