Dying dreads with box color...? Need help.

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

I'm about a month or two into my tnr/slight backcombed dreads . They are bleached but my roots are brown. There is about 1/2"+ of my roots. I want to go back to my natural brown hair and the only way to do that is to dye them. I don't have a lot of money so I would only be able to get the box color at walmart or something. Which brand should I get, how many boxes, and what are the instructions for dying dreads with box color?

I'm pretty desperate.

8 weeks into T&R: need to make them thicker?

Dread Maintenance

I'm on day two of my tnr's. This is my second set of dreads though. The first set were 7 1/2 weeks. I used backcombing and crochet to start them, and then went natural. I did a few tnr's on all my loose hair at the top of my head and I noticed that the thicker ones stayed together. I think it all depends on the tightness of it too. The hair that was my bangs (and still is in a way) are a lot smaller than the res of them, but they are a little tight in the middle. I'm hoping the stay together. They've already been through one wash and have stayed, so I'm hopeful(: Maybe put some beads on them or criss-cross wrap them with hemp or string. Hope this helps(:

Dread Dreams

Life Issues Facing Dreads

Well I recently brushed out my dreads. The night before I took the out, my dream was me looking out a window and it was summer, but it was snowing. I looked all that up and both "summer" and "snow" mean pretty much new beginnings and starting anew. Which was weird because I didn't realize it until after I brushed my first set out. Dreads are definitely important to me and my life. Even if no one else likes them, I love them.

Dread Dreams

Life Issues Facing Dreads

The other day I had a dream where my hair wasn't dreaded, but I went to wash something off in the ocean and a wave hit my hair, and when I got out of the ocean I had some dreads in my hair. They were almost mature dreads. They were nice and thick and just amazing. I've been reading how everyone has dreams where they don't have dreads or their dreads get cut off. I don't know why, but in most of my dreams, I have dreads. I'm getting pretty jealous of my dream self for having such nice dreads.

Could anyone tell me why this is happening though? I'm good with deciphering some of my dreams, but I don't know what these ones could mean.

Jason Natural Hair Care...?

Dread Maintenance

I don't like my hair colour. Like, it's a confidence issue and when I had blue hair I felt better and more myself. That's why I dye it, but it lasts for a long time. I would do the bs/acv rinses, but I don't have any oils and I don't have money to buy them. I have Dr.Bronner's and that's what I've been washing my hair with, but it only stops the itchies for about a day.

Jason Natural Hair Care...?

Dread Maintenance

http://www.jasoncosmetics.com/jason_hair_care_speciality_shampoo.html

If you scroll down to the Tea Tree oil one (the bottle with koala's on it), I have that shampoo and conditioner (along with Dr. Bronner's).

I decided to comb out my 7 week old dreads on Sunday and I bleached my hair, and tomorrow I'll put the blue dye in it. I want to go all natural with this set of dreads, but I might end up tnr'ing most of my hair.

I was wondering if I would still use the shampoo and conditioner to normalize my scalp while still working towards natural dreads. I don't have much conditioner left since the bottle is smaller than the shampoo.

I was thinking that when you don't brush your hair regardless of if you use shampoo or not, when you get out of the shower, your hair goes into those little sections.

I want some advice on what do do because my scalp has been dry since before I started my first set (and the Jason stuff works wonderfully) and I haven't used the Jason stuff since I started my first set. I have a few small scabs on my head, but the other parts that are dry just flake off and the dead skin comes off in litle chunks that I think are scabs, but aren't.
