some questions about sea water!

Dread Maintenance

Salt water really did wonders for my hair. I was lucky enough to work this summer on a boat and was in the ocean almost everyday. I think the process of being in the ocean and then drying in the sun really caused my hair to lock up much faster.

I actually just moved up here like 2 months ago so I'm still meeting new people, but have already met so many wonderful people! I'm down to meet a few more dreadies though!

Seemingly Unique Dreadlock Issues

Help! Save My Dreads

Before I came across this site I "started" my dreads by backcombing, luckily with no wax. They pretty much completely fell out within a week. I didn't know anyone with dreads when I started so i had no idea what the process really was. I did some reading and discovered the natural and from there I just let them do there own thing.

On a side note someone asked if i put wax in my dreads yesterday at school. I was getting ready to explain the natural process to them but when I answered no, they replied "All natural, good choice" Apparently not everyone has been brainwashed with lies by some other web sites :)

Has dreadlocks increased your sex appeal?

General Talk

I find the biggest difference is the people you attract, like SE said in his first post. It seems since I've had my dreads the people I meet are much friendlier and more my "type". A llot of conversations also start with my hair as the topic so I guess having dreads helps but in no way is the reason i Have them
