Thanks for the help! Also my hair is kinda short at the moment, right above my shoulders. And I have super curly, super thin hair... Should I wait it out until it's a bit longer to start the dreading?

Recently I've been through a lot. I see this as a journey I'm ready to embark on. I'm in need this freedom in a way. I'm seeing this as a spiritual thing. I'm just not sure how to start my awesome journey. I could use all the help I can get right now.
