Guys...I need help.

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

I would love nothing more to start one. As soon as I wake up I'll need to think some more on this. And I'm going to try and make it to one this year. Never been to one, and I need to go to one. Lol. But the way to seems people of all ages are welcome there, it looks like paradise honestly. We really need to do this.

We need to start one! I'm almost positive there's enough people on here to do so. I just wish I could go to the rainbow gathering this year=[ I have no way of getting there and my partner is uncomfortable taking our daughter there being so young, she wuld only be a few months old. o

I'll give it a watch as soon as I wake up. I'm working night shift so it's my bedtime. But you're right about the being permanent. It needs to be a permanent change, not temporary.

I feel if its not permanent then what is the point?
It should be a home not just a getaway.

If you want u can watch this documentary, noise and resistance, you might like what you hear, its not all english but it will be worth it.

Here is the trailer.

We need an almost permanent rainbow community...Living just off of the earth around us, for everything basically.

I just had that thought last night actually. My exact thought was we need a small self sustaining community. Just to be an influence in the right direction. I have no idea about how to start one. But hey it has to start somewhere. And my children are my biggest worry. We have to teach them to feel it, If they don't, I don't know what we'll do.

I've always felt like this. I too have a little family of my own, although I am not legally married, I do consider my partner to be my husband and we are expecting a little girl very soon, I hate to think of her growing up in this society and thinking all of its ok, I often think about how I can set her on the right path and mindset for the earth with everything that's going on in the world around her, its going to be a struggle. I often dream of living off the earth with other folks like me and I'm always trying to educate people about how we are destroying the earth by buying into society, I usually just get called a stupid tree hugger hippie though=\ it doesn't stop me though, people who think like that are more of the problem than anyone. I've looked into communal living and I believe that's the way to go, but any commune I've found is just plain corrupt. I'd love to start one with all the right intentions and make it happen and create a haven for people like us where as a group we can try to educate society around us.

Man...this is it!!!!! We need to spread this message and this is the means! We just need to get things going faster...we're destroying so much faster than helping. This is really bothering me...I just need to know what can we do to help...I mean truly really help.

although it started in america its spread all over the world to every country almost

and if ppl dont wake up and start taking better care

we will be dealing alot more with mommas wrath till they do.

You're absolutely right. That's what I'll do too. We all need to.

Also, that's kind of cool...I had no clue such a thing existed. Thank you.

Again thank you so much for your reply.

Talking to people about how stupid the system is does make a difference tho, just some people are more stupid and they don't realize it.

Crust punk is just a music genre.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crust_punk
its all for animal rights, equality, anarchy, going green, living naturally, going against the system, anti capitalism, anti militarism.

Thanks so much for you're reply. That's really awesome actually, but in America I don't see anything like that existing...though it may, I just don't know about it. I feel like farming isn't enough though. I feel like we should be trying to get the majority to feel this. I don't even understand how they don't. We'll be gone sooner than we think if we don't. I know I sound crazy...but I feel it.

P.S. What is a crust punk?...i had to ask.

The sad thing is to change the system you would need the majority on this planet to feel the same way, but most people don't and they enjoy living in the system as it is because its all they know and they are addicted to money and worldly possessions.

The best way is for people to get their own land and farm, but even that is not as easy it used to be a few years ago with governments telling you what you can grow and how much water you can have on your land etc, at-least that's how it is in allot of countries nowadays.

We never needed all that shit, i know. No human being owns any part of this planet or the plants and animals on here.

Id say look into farming, just farm for yourself.
In Sweden u get communities (they usually consist of crust punks), anyway they build their own houses, greenhouses, put up water reservoirs, grow their own vegetables and fruit, etc. They are very neat and organized as well and usually no one in the community relies on money, they look after one another.

Maybe you can find something similar were u live.

Always think straight.

All the best.
