Life after Crochet?

Dreading Methods

They feel amazing and today was my first day at work without a head scarf (been wearing one religiously for 2 months because of the nightmare synthetics!) - I wont get a refund on the initial interlocking/synthetics but Ididn'tpay for the crochets as wedidn'thave timetofinish them (luckily!) I was supposed to pay when I went back to finish them off but iv spoken to him and told them i'v taking them out now - thanks!

Life after Crochet?

Dreading Methods

I am as I type picking out my last crochet! yay! its taken about 6 hours but so worth it - my hair is wild now but feels so much better - iv twisted into sections and kind of ripped when i could get the hang of it - so basically back to day one and just going to leave it alone from here - thanks for the help and advice!

Life after Crochet?

Dreading Methods

I knoooow I'm kicking myself for just blindly going along with what he said to do (to be fair I do think he had the best intentions - he just didn't know what he was talking about!) and I'm pretty upset that I wasted 2 months with those hideous itchy braids!

Last night I (very easily) unravelled the interlocks & started twisting & Ripping the ones that haven't been crochet and I love it! I have seen the light and will be no way going back to the crochet! Thanks for the advice!

The problem is the 18 or so that have already been crochet - I found out that he has crochet 2 or in one case 3 smaller sections together and interlocked at the root? I tried to unpick one and it took the best part of an hour I thought I was going to have to just cut the mess out but its on the side of my face sodidn'twant to do that! Eventually got it untangled but im scared of completely wrecking my hair if I try and do that with all of them so plan of action:

1. Twist & Rip the remainder

2. Leave it all alone!!!

I alsorealisereading it back how stupid it sounds to say i'll be on a beach for 6 months anddon'thavetime to grow dreads lololol In my head I wanted neat, sculptured well established dreads by the time I went there but now i'v seen the dark side of that vision i'm going messy and natural all the way!

Hello! - I have mixed black & white hair - when its dry its very curly and frizzy but when its wet its very straight. I wasadvisedto interlock my quite short hair and then synthetic braid over the top for 2 months in the hope that it would speed up the interlocking process but I guess myhairis more 'white' than 'black' because aftersufferingthose horrible synthetic braids for 2 months I have taken them out and there is no change to my hair! The dread guy said my only option is to crochet and has croche'd 18 so far with 30 to go.

I'm not a big fan of the crochet look I think they lookwoollyand blunt at the ends - what will happen now if crochet the remaining 30 and then never crochet again? I know that the best thing is to just leave them completely natural
