How would I condition my baby dreads?

Introduce Yourself

My dreads are feeling a little...dry. Some are way more dry than others. I was told aloe or jojoba oil was the best, but is there a mixture of them? Or other mixtures I can use on my dreads? They are baby dreads, almost a month old! I don't want to jeopardize their lives, but they're so dry it's probably not healthy.

Advice for Yoga Beginners? :D

General Questions

You should try starting each morning with the sun salutation! It starts your day really nice, and it wakes your whole body up. It definitely makes your day seem better. I started with variation A, the easier, and then moved onto variation B. I also attend weekly yoga classes. All I can tell you about that is wear loose, comfortable clothing. And make sure you like the instructor! My first instructor was only interested in flexibility and toning, I was more interested in the spiritual benefits. Needless to say, she didn't work out, haha. Good luck though!

Question on bleaching and conditioning baby dreads~

General Questions

Good thing I haven't crocheted them too much, I'll stop immediately. Thanks for saving my dreads. :)But, I used Ion dye for both the blue and black it was previously dyed. Would it be better to continue bleaching with a higher level developer or should I use the colour remover? And how long should I wait between treatments? Considering I'm doing it on dreads.

Question on bleaching and conditioning baby dreads~

General Questions

Thank you for all the good info! If I shouldn't crochet, how do I tighten them when they get a little loose?I understand about bleaching, but I'd rather not leave them the colour they are. They're almost the colour of copper rust. They're disgusting looking.

Question on bleaching and conditioning baby dreads~

General Questions

Like the title says, I have dreadlocks. They are baby dreadlocks, not fully formed, mature locks. But they were black. I hated the way they looked, so I bleached them. Now they are a greenish mixed with brown. (The green is from my previous dye job, before the black.) My plan is to go a light blonde, and I am willing to take my time with this. But seeing as I have dreads, I cannot use deep conditioners or argan oil, any of that. I attempted a hot oil treatment, and after three washes (with Dr. Bronner's liquid soap) my dreads are still oily! So I guess I can't attempt that again. My question is: how long should I wait before I bleach my hair again? It had been over a month since I had touched my hair with chemicals before I bleached it the first time, and in that time I did hot oil treatments, used argan oil and deep conditioned a bit. (Before the dreads, of course.) And also, are there any suggestions about ways to condition my locks from the bleaching, yet not harm them or prevent them from locking up. I also want to say, I'm using Ion powder lightener with the Ion 20 developer for bleach. Thank you~

What is your favorite vegetarian meal?

Dreads and Diets

Vegetable curry over rice is my all time favourite! But I must say, falafel is very good too. And quinoa and bean sprout wraps are amazing!
