1 year dreading but with wax...

Help! Save My Dreads

Hey there! So I have been dreading for a little over a year now, sadly I started with wax as many have. After 2 weeks of using around a 1/4 of a jar of dreadheadhq wax I found this site and stopped. I then used very very hot water for about a week of hair washes (which was about 3 washes) and I thought the wax was all gone as my hair was VERY fluffy!!A year down the road I'm getting some comments about white stuff in the hair, so I go to a mirror and check the locks at the back to discover, yeah, I got some white stuff there. My dreads are very hard nearer the tips. the new growth over the last year is all soft and has no white in it at all. I know immediately what it is so I came back here to see what I can do. I have found the dreadlocksshampoo.com and really wanna buy some stuff. My worry however is that I live in the UK. The shipping price is $60!!!!!Does anyone know if I can buy these products in the UK or even in Europe please, I'll try and upload some photos now too...

Wax B-Gone review

dread wax and dread kits recovery

Hey! I'm so glad to hear that you liked the product. I also have just received it in the mail and am gonna use it when I get some time :)I have a question, also for anyone who may know. Did you find that your dreads got thicker after removing wax? Like is it possible that dreads are kept tight and thin/immature due to wax?Because my dreads have not really thickened up much and I've had them for about 16 months....

Making dreads smell great!

Dread Products

Hey guys :)

I was wondering about what stuff to use to make dreads smell nice... I sometimes use essential oils in my BS wash but the smell doesnt last too long... I was wondering about Palmers Cocoa butter? or something maybe that I can use in dreads that wont harm them maturing...

I sometimes use a peppermint spray but I dont really like the smell all that much.... I prefer something like cocoa butter but im afraid to try it coz im not sure if its similar to wax or something! any help would be wonderful! thanks x
