I'd help if I could but I've literally no income - I'm supposed to be in disability but they've denied me twice, so I've got nothing to spare, sorry :/

Thanks guys, I'll give this a try on my normal hair and see what happens. And now I'm kind of worried about using BS/ACV with hard water. I know, I know, get the dreadlockshampoo, that'll happen eventually but not for a while.
And this is the soap if anybody is interested.

Is this safe to use? Ingredients listed are - Saponified Olive Oil, Water, Mineral Salts. I have hard water.
I know about ACV/BS wash but I'm out of BS so this Olive Oil bar is pretty much what I've got lying around for the next while.
Oh I found this, look under the dreads you can kinda see normal hair falling over my ear :P
Thank you I've actually been growing out the undercut for the last, lets say 6 months? So on top I have dreads and all underneath I have just regular hair down to the base of my neck, it looks kind of weird and it's pretty annoying. I plan on keeping the sides shaved - I need help with that though, it's hard to do an even cut on your own head, more so when I have to make a completely new line, where with the dreads the line was already there for me so it was no problem.
I'll take your advise, truth be told though, since I started growing the undercut out, I stopped brushing and I use the same shampoo on the sides that I do for my dreads, which is really just BS and ACV. It doesn't help that I've naturally silky hair, or so I've been told. Most hair styles fall out pretty quickly for me buns or pigtails and such.
I sort of imagine that leaving the crocheted ones alone now and they'll grow out to look like the others will look, or so I'll be hoping
So I'm Bonnie, 23 from Ireland. I've had dreadlocks for about a year and a half. They were put in with the crochet hook, with two follow up maintenance sessions - and yes, I know NOW how bad the crochet hook is so I've vowed to just leave them alone and let them do their own thing.
I got them because I love dreadlocks, and frankly, I never knew what to do with my hair. As a child I grew my hair incredibly long, during my teenage years I had a mohawk, which I then cut off at 17 - I was devastated but I didn't think I'd ever get a job with it. Between then and now I changed hairstyles so much and could never find one that fit so I just let it grow and did nothing with it until it got insanely long again. Then it came to me. Dreadlocks. Besides my mohawk, I've never been happier with a hairstyle, I feel it's me and I love them.
So, here's the question part. The day before my dreadlocks were put in with the hook, I got an undercut, for those who don't know what that is, I've included a picture below . I've decided to grow the back out and dread it, and since I've thrown away the hook, I was wondering what to do. I know about neglecting them and letting them do their own thing in the very beginning, thing is, I'm quite OCD so I need some form of sectioning or I'll go crazy at night that I'll have one huge one and tiny little ones or something.
This was taken not too long after they were put in, possibly even the same day.
I love that you and your son are doing this together :D
I never used wax on my dreadlocks so I'd be really surprised if that was the problem from what other people have said, it sounds like it's just residue build up from Dr. Bronners and hard water
