Thanks for the link, I might purchase a bottle of the shampoo when I can afford to. I like baking soda method because it does not mess up the roots of my dreads and create more loose hair, which can happen when I massage my scalp with shampoo. Would there be a method in which I can place shampoo in a pitcher of water and pour it on my scalp?
I have recently started using a baking soda rinse followed by a ACV rinse to cleanse my scalp and remove dandruff. However I am concerned that the baking soda will fade my dreads. The hair dye and henna in my hair seems to have lightened. Could I skip the initial baking soda rinse and just apply an ACV rinse? Will the ACV alone rinse clean my scalp adequately? Alternatively could I use only a small amount of baking soda in the first rinse?
I recently dyed part of my dreads with henna and indigo. The colour turned out a very warm brown.I would prefer some burgundy tones. I read online that strained hibiscus tea can be repeatively sprayed on hair tocreatea burgundy shade. Would hibiscus tea be safe to spray on mydreadlocks or could this cause buildup?

Yes I did mix the baking soda and acv together.
I have had my dreads for two years now. I had been regularly washing and using no wax on my dreads. However my dreads had began to acquire a wet dog smell but only when wet. I tried my first baking soda with ACV deep cleanse. My hair feels cleaner but the deep cleanse has left my dreads dry. I used 3/4 cup of ACV and one quarter of a cup of baking soda. I added peppermint, lavender and tea oil for their anti-bacterial properties. Did I use the right proportion of ingredients? I soaked for 15 minutes then I rinsed the baking/ACV out in the shower.
I have now sprayed my hair with aloe vera and lavender oil. However my dreads are still feeling dry. Would there be any other ingredients I could add to the aloe spray to help moisterise. How often can I deep cleanse?

I have been wearing lately a favourite red jumper only to discover bits of red fluff that have become deeply embedded in my dreadlocks. I have to pull the fluff out with tweezers which unknots my dreads. Would a BS dep cleanse or something similar be a better option to remove the fluff or should I just stick to tweezers?

My dreads are becoming scratchy and dry. I was recommended Natures Natural Olive Hair Oil. I tried the product and it did soften my dreads. However looking at the ingredients I am concerned it could lead to build up?
The ingredients are: Mineral Jelly, Shea Butter, Soybean Oil, Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil,
Vitamin E, Herbal Essence.
I am also a little concerned if it could loosen my dreads although they are mature, over 20 months old now.

I have currently stopped crocheting and root rubbing.I am just washing and separating. I have a question about separating dreads. Should I separate the dreads right down to the scalp or should I just separate the body of the dreads and leave the roots slightly connected?
