Before OR After?

dreads jobs employment issues

I say wait, purely because if you start now and then apply, you will have young dreads which are nototriousforbeingnaughty. you could have the most fuzzy misshapen clumps one day when you have an interview, and well behaved locs the next- i think either wait until you have a job to start, or wait until your dreads are past the baby stage and are a little easier to make neat before you start applying. my dreads are so lovely and neat, and have never been an issue for me looking untidy for interviews- but those first few months were so crazy, i doubt i would have ever gotten a job with those moody fuzzballs lol. <3

edit: just realized this is hell old- haha much love anyway! what did you do? xx

My own shampoo bar..homemade

Dread Products

love this site! I went out today and bought some stuff to make tea tree and olive oil catile soap bars for my locs, i hate that the only shampoo bars we get here in australia are so loaded with different essential oils and moisturizers, even though they're marketed for dreads! the only semi simple ones for some reason have herbs all through them, which i would NOT like to have to pick out of my dreads. for me, plain castile soap works wonders on y scalp, and tea tee oil i can't live withoutbecausenot only does it deter lice big time, it prevents dandruff and smells so fresh! :D so a shampoo bar of pure castile and a dash of tea tree oil sounds perfect for me. it will be great to be able to make my own shampoo for my own locs. all part of that wonderful journey
