Lint in locks

General Questions

is there like a special towel i could use? because i shower at night so i kind of can't let it drip dry.

Stop using a towel then, i used it at first too then i got some black lint shit in some of my dreads so i just let them drip dry and after that its been ok. I think its lint from you towel.

Your dreads need air to dry not a towel ;)

Lint in locks

General Questions

i just cut off 4 of my locks because they had this grayish white stuff in them and i was scared it was mold. when i cut the first one off and opened it. tons of lint just came out. How do i prevent my locks from being lint magnets?

i never do anything to my hair when it is wet. i just let it hang and air dry. but today i tried the blowdryer. some of my hair was still wet afterwards.

Also i cut off the ends of 2 of my locks because i wanted to see what would happen. they were in that weird circular shape. is that bad if i cut all those little ringlets off? Also how long would it take for my hair to mold? I'm debating on blow drying it.

Really oily hair

General Questions

So i have extremely oily hair and I've been naturally letting my dreads form and i wash them 2-3 days, but i don't want to wash them more than that. even then my hair is still oily. i read that if you sleep with a scarf or head wrap it will absorb the oil. is this permitted? Will this mess up anything? Also only the back of my hair hair is really dreading what do i do? lol sorry for all the questions just tired of my family saying to cut my hair it looks ugly.

if its not dreaded why pull it apart

u pull apart 2 dreads so they dont become 1

not 2 sections that might want to e 1 dread if u do that your preventing it from dreading

let it dread then separate
