jobs for introverts

dreads jobs employment issues

Yeah that sounds good but I'd be sleeping all day. Haha but I'd get used to it. I don't have a problem working in small groups generally, with coworkers and whatnot. I just don't like working with "the public" lol thank you!

dreads jobs employment issues

Yeah I am friendly when you get to know me but have anxiety around people I don't know and at the end ofthe day feel completely drained. My last job was in hand packaging and I liked it but it was only a temp job. Thank you for your feedback. I should look into more factory or warehouse jobs. I am just having a hard time without experience. A lot need forklift or other exp with machinery

hello all. so i had a question for all you introverts like me aboit job options. i have been having a really hard time finding a job i feel comforyable in because our society is so service baded. i have been told many times to just get a customer service job and ill slowly get more comforyable with people but ive been doing that for 5 years and its just not for me. i have a liberal arts degree which pretty much means nothing these days and plan on continuing my education toward environmental biology but as of now im feeling lost. any siggestions? what do you guys do?

TnR timeline

Member Journals and Timelines

Hello all. I know it is early to begin a timeline because I only started a little over a week ago but I thought I'd track my progress on here so I don't forget when the pictures were taken. I'll try to keep it updated. Thanks!

Alright so this first picture is pre twist and rip. I never brushed by hair before so I think my sections were kinda determined before I even started. It was easy to find sections that felt natural anyways.

Here are a couple photos taken directly after my 4 hour or so TnR session. (tired arms lol)

And here are some photos of one week. I'm starting to look like a wildwoman. very messy and i love it. =]

a lot of the twists have unraveled on the bottom half and are just doing their thing

Thanks! I will post more as time goes on but unless there is noticeable change I'll just do monthly photos. I am so excited for the months to come!

Life Issues Facing Dreads

I don't feel like this question is ridiculous. I was kinda wondering the same thing. In the summer i spend a lot of time in chlorinated pools and my hair gets pretty dry from it over time if i don't use aloe rid clarifying shampoo (by nexus). I'm assuming like pretty much all shampoos it will leave residue so I'm not sure what to use. I will be sure to rinse my hair often with plain water but if baking soda shouldn't be used afterward, what should? I wouldn't worry about it if you don't swim often though.

what should i do about this loose hair in the front?

Help! Save My Dreads

If it were me id just soak my bangs in baking soda solution for a min and rinse em out in the sink. I tend to do this on lazy days before work cause my bangs get greasy before the rest of my hair from the oil on my hands from tucking them behind my ears and such all the time. If you don't touch your hair much and its from your forehead/hairline maybe try a dab of astringent once or twice a day?

Loops?

General Questions

Patience and April! you gals are only a couple months ahead of me so maybe I'll check in on your pictures from time to time to see what I should expect. haha Thanks for your encouragement everyone. I am very excited to see what the next few months bring. I am sure I will be posting a timeline at some point soon. I'm not even to a week yet though so it will be a bit till that happens.

Loops?

General Questions

yeah I have washed my hair a few times and they haven't fallen apart yet. some have kinda unraveled at the bottom like you said but none have come completely undone. Yeah that one big knot that was forming before was taking up a big chunk of my hair so if i would have let it go it would have congoed for sure. I'd have to break it down into 3 smaller dreads but so far its not trying to join with others. I don't know if that's something that happens right away anyways but i'll have to keep an eye on it. That guy is sneaky. Before I did the tnr i would get the tangle out and it would literally try knotting up again in minutes. haha Maybe that's a good sign though that my dreads will progress faster.

General Questions

That's true. Thank you for all the replies. The only thing I don't understand is that I haven't brushed my hair for years but it never dreaded on its own. I would just get one really huge knot in the back which id untangle by hand. So if these all unravel you'd think it would just go back to doing that. But I'll just leave it alone and see what happens. So far I love them.
