Help! Save My Dreads
updated by @alphawolfe: 01/22/20 09:33:16AM
Hello Everyone!
Im about 10 months into dreading,
& i do love my dreads, but i feel they arent very full.
i only have like 30 of them,
& i thought that maybe i could get extensions just to make them appear fuller,
but i do have some questions.
What kind of extensions do i need if i just want them to appear fuller but i dont want to add any lenth? Like extensions that i can just put directly at the scalp?
I only want,like,maybe 10-20?
How much would the cost be?
where could i get them?
& would they look odd considering i have really messy wild dreadlocks,& then adding neat ones?
i could just put them underneath the top ones, maybe?
sorry,i know nothing about extensions :c
Hi guys, n.n
I was just wondering what pools really do to your dreads? Because i have heard so many things, that the chlorine hurts it,that it helps & that it does nothing at all,so i'd like to know the truth before i hit the pools.
My dreads areexactlytwo months & 24 days,if that helps any c:
Now don't get me wrong,i LOVE my dreads, ive had them for alittle over two months, but they are pretty frizzy & everywhere,so when do you all think they will start turning 'rope' like & comingtogetherbetter?
Hey everyone,
well, you see,i did have a bad dandruff problem when i first started dreading because i was using dreadHQ shampoo, well i stopped using that & now im using a baking soda/tea tree oil/ + vinegar/water rinse.
The dandruff is notprevalentor nearly asnoticeableas it used to be,but i do notice that i still have quite a bit under my dreads.
What should i do?
Also, ive never had any dandruff problems before i started dreading.
Hey guys c:
1/18/2013 is the birth of my dreads.
How are they turning out?
Any tips,suggestions?
Note,in the first picture, the roots are abit more knotted than they look.
Thank you so much c:
& The oil, actually,as far as i can smell doesn't have much of a scent, maybe a very faint one.
& would it be better to use Teatree oil or Rosemary Oil?

Hi, added comment on your page, but I think I deleted it. So I'll try again. I have never used that oil, but would not recommend using any directly on the scalp. Being only 1 month in, it would slip out any knots trying to form. I notice you are using the baking soda ACV wash, good for you. Are your measurements correct: 1/2 cup baking soda to 5 cups water: this must be rinsed out extremely well (after leaving on for 20 minutes) before you use the ACV: 1 capful to 5 cups water (leave on for 1 minute), rinse well also
For a couple of washes to help get rid of the dandruff make the baking soda bit stronger add rosemary oil maybe peppermint too. Rosemary oil is great for helping solve dandruff issues and keeping it away.
Another good tip is to rinse the scalp with as cold water as you can take at the very end of your shower, this also helps to keep dandruff away. Good luck, and hey, what does the Morocccan smell like?
Hello There,
I was wondering if any of you guy's have used Moroccan Argan oil on your dreads,
& how did that turn out?
Ive got a little dandruff problem,& we have some lying around,so please give me some feedback.
Thankyou c:
Hi,Newbie here c:
I feel as if i didn't create enough dread's when i first started,about 3 weeks ago,& ive got about 25-27,
Most of them are about as thick as a pencil,
other's on the top of my head are small & thin.
Do you think i made too less?
& if i left them, how would they turn out ?
ThankYou .
