Underwear Optional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Do you wear underwear?

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

How many people out there currently do not wear underwear under their clothes? I'm 28 years old and just recently ( about 2 months ago) stopped wearing panties only wear them when needed. Idecided whats the point of wearing underwear. I think guys go without underwear more than women.

Bras on the other hand, I don't wear them when I'm sleeping, but wear them during the day, I want to get to where I don't wear a bra at all, but don't think my 36/38D's would look nice without a bra in certain shirts I wear. Im currently looking into camisoles as a bra alternative. I also thinking changing the way I dress will help with me getting out of wearing bras. t-shirt and shorts or pants is what I usually wear. More dresses and long skirts is what I want to change my dress code to.

ladies check out this article titled "WHY WOMEN WEAR BRAS"

http://www.007b.com/why_wear_bras.php

Let me know what is you all opinion on this subject. Do you wear underwear or don't you and why?

No Soap No Shampoo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bathing with only water

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

I

use baking soda on my dreadlocks. I bath only with hot water. I use baking soda to bath with once or twice a week which are the days I exercise and sweat a lot. Idon'tuse deodorant because Idon'tsmell for 1 and 2 I have yet to find a natural deodorant that don't break me out. I look at it like this sometimes before soap how was we bathing, with just water and probably not even hot water. Like I said before try it out for yourself. It may not be for everybody. Personally I works for me my skin has cleared up on my face and body since I stopped using soap. I use to have bad breakouts on my face and body. The bumps I get on my body are going away by themselves without me having to put myprescriptionmedicine on the affected area. When i first heard about bathing with only water I was like everybody else and was like how can you clean yourself without a cleansing agent. Thats why I did my own research and decided to try it for myself. I believe the body is self cleaning and self healing to an extent. I don't believe in all the vaccinations we have to have to keep us from catching this and that I believe in natural herbs. Our bodies are remarkable if we allow it to do the things it was created to do.

Research for yourself and try it for yourself before you completely turn your nose up at it.

I don't see the point of bathing with soap that strips away your body's natural oils just to put on lotions, oil and butters to get back the moisture of your skin you just stripped away.

Maybe for you, you can find a soap that cleanse but dosen't strip away you bodys natural producing oils.

She looks lovely but I still wouldn't want to sniff her pits if she used only water and no soap or deodorant. I'm not saying that a completely sterile person is what is attractive to me but there is certain 'body odor tolerance limit' we have each developed for ourselves and other people.

How healthy do you think your dreads would be after a month or two of only rinsing with water? A gunky slimy mess because of lack of exfoliation of skin cells.

And let's clarify something here: are we talking about not using soap or using baking soda in place of soap? Because there is a big difference between using something like baking soda and just using plain water.

Why would you wash your hands with soap after using the bathroom or getting dirty or whatever but not want to use soap on the rest of your body? I don't understand the logic behind this idea. Not using a cleaning agent on the skin is an invitation for yeasts and bacteria to take up residence in the soft folds and creases of the skin through sweat and hormones.

bs is good for any hair it gives it a deep clean without stripping your hair of its natural oils. I been shampoo free for about the same time your girlfriend only using bs once a week and my hair which is dreaded and scalp feels great

great discussion! I've been off soap and shampoo for about a year and a half now and can def attest to how diet effects bo. When I'm doing basic fruits and veges and drinking enough water I smell great, when I hit the meat and any processed crap I def notice the old stench under the arms but i've been using vinegar and just letting it soak on the skin while I brush my teeth and then rinse it off in the shower and that seems to work pretty good. My girlgirlfriend has been off shampoo for about 3 weeks and was asking if bs would be okay for her hair (it's not dreaded) or does it strip oils?
Peace guys, love this site!

I heard that before about most body odor comes from poor diet. I eat mostly vegetables and fruits at least I try to. My husband on the other hand eats everything lol

i have been dooderant free for 30 years i was soap free for 4 years using only baking soda

till i got the bucks county soap factory soaps and started using those

alot of body oders come from poor diets you eliminate wastes and toxins through sweat feces and urine (why native american healing sweats are so good for you (besides the spirit healing aspects)

the better your diet the purer the sweat and the less u smell

so ive havd no need for deoderant at all

I understand what you are saying about the dreadlocks, that's when shampooing with Baking soda comes into play. It cleans without stripping the hair of its natural oils. Washing the body with baking soda is also good it cleanses without stripping the body of its natural oils or scent.

I know a few people who have natural dreadlocks and they dont use anything to wash them all they do is rinse with cold water 2 or 3 times a week.

I talked about this too some time ago but I wasnot really great welcome about that here. I think that it is true.

The only thing is that the taste of toothpaste and the smell of soap or shampoo are fun so it's hard to go without it for a long time. Also, because of the nature of dreadlocks, Im pretty sure that theyre gonna smell bad if you don,t wash it for mroe than 2 weeks (it catches more dirt and sweat stay more in it)

No Soap No Shampoo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bathing with only water

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

Wassup everybody

About 2 weeks ago I was doing a lot of searching and research on not using soap to clean your body. Only using water. In my search I have found that most skin problems could come from cleaning with soap, soap strips the body of its natural oils so the body has to over produce oil. I came across this video on youtube

.

There are a lot of people who have experimented with bathing with water only and their results are that after a few weeks or months their skin is healthier and glowing, they don't stink or smell they are clean, they have also said that they dont see a reason to go back to using soap and shampoo a lot of them have said they will never go back to using soap and shampoo. I advise you to do your own research I have been soap free and deodorant free for 15 days now and other than the nice smells you get from soap my skin feels the same way when I wash with water only. Im also deodorant free and toothpaste free as well I use baking soda to clean my teeth. Shampoo does the same thing to your hair and scalp as the soap does to your skin strips it of its natural oils. I still do use soap to wash my hands. I also have a husband and he hasn't noticed that I stopped using soap (I haven't told him that I stopped).

I'm also looking into dry skin brushing....

If any one is also no soap no shampoo hit this discussion up and tell me how long you been doing it, the pros and cons. I would love to hear your story.
