Hair lengthening shampoo?

Hi guys,
Do you know of a shampoo that makes hair grow faster? My hair has gotten shorter now that they are starting to lock. I'd to grow my hair faster but don't know of a good shampoo.

I have to tie it up for sports practice. I try to just do a single knot, but sometime i have to do double since it keeps falling out.

I've been dreading for about 4 months now, and I've noticed that parts of my hair is dreading much slower than other parts. In other words, my hair has starting is separate in ropes, but if I take a look at one lock, half of it is knotted, but the other half isn't. I realized that the part that is pulled back when I tie my hair up is dreading much slower. I leave my hair up for at least half of my day for when I work out and what not.
Any ideas for other ways of dealing with my hair when I'm active? Hats maybe?

170 dreads!!? dang thats a lot.

Im surprised SE hasn't ripped you a new one for doing the T&R method and being skeptical. Im doing the natural method and my hair is dreading beautifully. But hey, its your hair and you can do what ever you want with them. Have some faith and be patient, good luck!

great, thanks guys. I'm actually using the kiwi lime squeeze right now. I just like how easy and cheap it is. And it smells great. I'm most likely going to switch over to dreadlockshampoo stuff within the next few month. THANKS!

Dread Maintenance

I stated my neglect method 2 months ago and my hair is dreading beautifully.My hair stated looping within the first 2 weeks and I'm starting to see rope like locks. I've only used regular "VO5" shampoo from thebeginning. Is this bad? I don't know much about the affects of shampoo leaving back residues. Can someone enlighten me?

Diet change, need help!


Dreads and Diets

This goes great with what I've been learning at school. I'm a student at UC Davis. I'm no expert but I'll try to help you. Firstly, about the protein shake for breakfast, you really should only drink that right after a work out because the Amino acids will be delivered through the increased blood flow by the exercise. Your body will turn extra protein to carbs and then stored that as fat, the extra nitrogen from the amino acids will beexcreted through urine. The daily value for protein is 50 grams if you didn't know. Instead of the protein shake, just drink some milk.

Your diet doesn't actually look that bad, just make sure you are eating lots of fiber (from veggies, fruits, salad) about 25 grams of fiber a day is good. Minimize how much fat (fast food, butter, mayo etc) you eat.

Homemade dinners are usually healthy unless your eating lots of fried stuff with high fat.

In general: add milk (1% or skim) for breakfast. If you want more protein, milk and meat should be your main source through out the day. Drink protein shakes directly after your exercise workout. You could also eat some boiled eggs. Don't worry about the cholestrol from eggs, we learned that cholestrol FROM EGGS is not linked to heart disease. Eggs have tons of good nutrients in them.

Lunch: add more fruits and veggies. The sandwhich is fine, just dont overload it with mayo. Also, whole grain bread is good.

You also should be exercising. Go out and play some basketball, soccer, or something fun with your friends. Exercise makes you feel better, and its a good way to socialize. "without exercise, humans will slowly sicken and die."
