Hey guys

Introduce Yourself

Whats up everyone! My name is Kyree. I'm 23 with a wonderful wife and a very smart daughter (so proud of her.) I've been dreading for almost a whole 2 weeks haha. I have a while to go and look forward to my Journey and watching everyone else journey progress. I used to be against dreads because the people around me pretty much gave it a bad look and I didn't want anything associated with them, but since that feeling I had a few years ago my ignorance diminish and I have grown a lot. Now I embrace it and really enjoy it. Even though its been a couple of weeks I've notice changes in my hair, just like the changes within myself and I hope to grow as a person along with my hair :)

Help! Save My Dreads

yeah as far as I've read its just best to let them be I guess. its a transition from caring to not caring I guess. something I'll got to get use to.

ok so its normal I guess. Do you think its a good idea to loosely apply a rubber band at the root to keep the sections seperated? or just let it be?

puffy dreads after wash

Help! Save My Dreads

Hey everyone I'm new to this. I had my dreads in for about 11 days and I decided to wash them. I have African hair and I started them with the twist method with about a inch or two inches of hair. After the wash they became puff balls. Is that normal? I tried to re-twist them but it doesn't stay to I just left them alone. kinda lost on what to do and I hope I didn't destroy the whole process.
