The pressure to shave...for men.

General Talk

I rarely feel pressured to shave my beard. But I would never let that affect me. I wouldn't ever shave it off anyway! I like it and it's part of who I am. Wouldn't feel like myself without it.

Dread Absorbing Personalities.

Dready love

That's a great story! I recently noticed something in one of my locks that didn't look like my hair. I pulled it out and realized that it was some other humans hair! lolwasn'ttoo thrilled about that one. not so cute as your story. I do have a favorite dread though the one directly behind my right ear, Iwrappedit and put my little Buddha charm on it.

The Demon Drink

General Questions

Agreed. I used to be a heavy drinker, some might say alcoholic, Ididn'tthink so but it was excessive far more than you described for yourself and mixed with prescription meds. Today I have a host of internal problems from it, liver and kidney disfunctionplus digestive issues. Definitely take it easy alcohol is a dangerous substance and can on its own cause death. unlikeeverybody'sgreen friend! haha

I have Chronic Pancreatitis as a result of excessive drinking. Slow down I'd say.

A Good Baking Soda/ ACV Recipe?

Introduce Yourself

To me it sounds like you had too much baking soda in the mix and that's why you felt a burning sensation. I personally find that about 1/4-1/2 cup of BS per gallon of water cleans well depending on how grimy my hair feels. also http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/baking-soda-and-sea-salt-ratios is a great resource forexactmeasurments.

Tying up Baby Locks?

Dread Maintenance

Smart idea Barrellady! I have been using a Nike hair wrap when I run and it doesnt seem to mess up my locks too much. But it does slow down the locking process on the back of my head more I think.

Tying up Baby Locks?

Dread Maintenance

So I'm a fairly avid runner. I typically run 4 or more days in a week. My question; is there a good way to tie back my baby dreads (I'm a week into neglect and hair is pretty long 10+ inch) or at least hold them out of my face?

Don't go to the bar with dreads.

General Talk

Glad to hear you got that gel out of your hair! :)

TieDyedSoul said:

Not that bad the gel came out after I soaked it then washed it. Could of been worse she could of cut a dread out then I would of flipped.
