FIRST POSITIVE COMMENT ON MY HAIR!!!

General Talk

The first comment coming from a stranger really stuck with me as well. It's such an amazing feeling when you think you just look like a mess, and in reality the changes are quite beautiful and noticeable to those around us. I was listening to some live music about 5 weeks after neglecting my hair, in a rather large crowd, a guy sort of yelled, "awesome dreads" I just stared for a minute and pointed to myself, confused. I really didn't think it was noticeable at all. Ah the simple pleasures of letting go :]

New dread

Introduce Yourself

That can cause loss of hair. I'd just go natural and let them dread on their own. Wash your hair 2-3 times a week, the water creates knots. Welcome!!

Thin natural dreads!

Help! Save My Dreads

One way to help combine dreads if you want thicker ones is by using beads or wrapping in hemp. Welcome and dread on!

Natural methods to help hair start dreading?

Dreading Methods

That's how knots start and dreads form, by coming lose, reforming, then coming lose a bunch of times. No worries just be patient! Most people don't have any signs of dreading in just two weeks. Washing will help knots form, even if it seems to hinder progress

HOW DOES THE LOCKING PROCESS DIFFER FOR LONGER HAIR?

Introduce Yourself

I've seen straight hair loc up pretty quickly! Youd be surprised what the hair is capable of in 6-8 short weeks. Ive got an Asian friend with very fine straight hair, hers locked up quicker than my thick curls! Also I know of many more people who regret getting extensions than are happy about it, just a thought :]You don't need a locticion! Just a good dread shampoo, able hands to seperate congos, and lots of patience and love.Don't hesitate to always ask questions!
