I love beards and chest hair. If I dated a guy with both of those things I would feel like I'm dating a viking so that's awesome.
Thank you! It did help the soul after feeling down for a bit. Oh thats an interesting dread.

This post is so crazy cute! and also an awesome idea My favorite dread starts off very thin, and then spirals out of control with loops and bumps and by half way is very big :P
Thank you!

we have a member i think her names catlady i forget she had hair past her knees and when she strted dreadig she incorporated tuffs of her cats hair into each dread
Today I was playing around with my dreads in one of my classes and at the end of one I found a blackish orange hair sticking out from one of my brown dreads. To investigate further I gently tugged at the end of the hair to find that It was one of my cat's and Dog's hairs. This made me laugh out loud and smile because I love my animals and apparently instead of my dreads just being my own they are taking some of the things I love around me and absorbing them into themselves.
This also made me happy because I recently lost one of my cats to kidney failure that was 24 years old. So today I dedicated that first dread I found with tiny specks of animal hair to her and when I get home I'm going to wrap it only to cut the wrap off when my healing process is over.
Today I stumbled upon my favorite dread. Does anyone else have a favorite dread they have in mind?
Having them permanent I wouldn't recommend or paying so much to get fake dreads in. I personally love how natural dreads are and how they change every day and drive you crazy sometimes. However I like the way colored synthetic dreads look like and I sometimes put them in for Halloween. This is what I do though. I buy the fake hair online and make the dreads myself. then I tie the dreads to a hair tie and make a bunch like that so it looks pretty much the same. That might help you if you wanted to try something different that you can take out that won't ruin your natural dreads.
I am only in my 2 month of dreads I find myself happier. Happy because I always wanted my hair this way and I'm more patient. I do not care that others think my hair looks messy and on most days I get more compliments on my dreads then negative comments. I find with dreads you kinda become a teacher as well, and it takes patients to tell person after person how proper dreads are formed and that you can take care of them. Having dreads definitely teach me something everyday.
Duly noted, thanks for the advice.

I find it easier toseparate right after i wash them. The few hairs that are holding the dreads together will break. Separating is often called popping or ripping because you will hear the hairs break. It is normal. It doesn't make your dreads weaker like the breakagecrochetdoes. If they are only a few months old, don't use conditioner to separate unless it is a solid mass. The conditioner will loosen the hair inside your dread.
