not all rastas are truly rastas and some are even taken in by the salons
but i never curled mine ofcourse but i think what they do is use those soft curling rot like things and wrap the dreads round them while wet and they stay curly when they dry but im not 100% on that
and yea that wax is evil stuff u use it once and 10 years later yoiur still trying to remove it but the wax b gone will do the trick
since its hardened in there for years u might need to do multiple treatments
Welcome.. sorry I just read your profile that you've had dreads for 6 years... by 6 years you wouldn't need wax if you'd not used it & the crochet to start..... your locks would be locked...
Welcome. Unfortunately, wax will only destroy locks. At best, it will delay progress. Wax is sticky, and prevents hair from tangling. This stops knots from forming. At worst, and most likely, it holds water in your hair, and causes mold and mildew. This will quickly destroy your hair.
Wax is actually one of the top worst things to put in locks. Crocheting and felting are the only worst methods
