take the bands out stop palm rolling stop using aloe just leave em alone and the roots will lock uop but not for a longtime

I'm brand new to dreadlocks! Just finished them yesterday(: but they are lose, I've been palm rolling them but sometimes its hard to get to some angles. Also, I hate the rubber bands! I have them on my roots and tips and there obnoxious. How long should I keep these in for and how do my roots lock up?? I just don't think my dreads look right. Someone help! Everybody here has perfect locks and I want that too!!!!P.s. How do I post photos? (new to site as of 5min ago haha
