Any pics? I'm curious on how they look. As far as conditioning goes some oils would work. Can you wear a professional looking tam or something that you can wear while your hair heals?
Everyone is right your hair is jacked, and it will get worse. I have a nice knitted black one that I wear at church, or when I have to speak at places. That might be a better option.

Welcome. What was done to them in the very beginning? Was wax, gel, or cream used? If so, that's te first thing we need to deal with. It has to all get washed out. Yes, even after 10 years, wax is still in your hair. Wax is a hydrocarbon, which means that no matter how much hot water and normal soap/shampoo you use, it doesn't wash out. Hydrocarbons require a detergent and LOTS of scrubbing to clean. And after 10 years, most of the wax is probably so deeply trapped in your locks, it'll be a real pain to clean out. But i has to happen. I can definitely give you some pointers on this. It's a grueling process. And will take a few months. But to get your lock healthy again, you shouldn't wait.
Now onto the interlocking. There is very little more damaging that interlocking. It over tightens your roots and causes baldness. When you try and artificially tighten your roots, you are pulling hairs out of your scalp that are necessary for giving your sections support and strength. As a result, your sections get thinner and thinner, and severely weaken your locks. If you can see your scalp in between your sections, that is a sign of the condition called Traction Alopecia. This condition leads directly to baldness.
So if you'd like to keep your hair for a lot longer, I'd highly recommend NEVER interlocking again. And if you had itdone within te last 2-3 days, and can see exactly where the lock was pulled through, undo it. If you're not 100% sure where to undo it, don't try. It can cause more problems than it'll fix.

welcome but interlocking and salons destroy dreads interlocking is 1 of the worse thinfgs u can do well salons are worse
