I have one somewhere, but I think it's in the shed. I'd have to dig it out to find it.
Could you use one of those burn tools you get out of the craft section at stores? I have one, I used it to burn "Winter is Coming" into a wooden mailbox of mine. It was already smooth though, I wonder if it could help with splintery wood...?
I got an old skate deck I'm thinking about making beads out of. I do have a dremel tool with different tips. Sounds like something to keep me busy throughout the day
Get a dremel...they work wonders on so many things from dreadlock beads to doing things on an engine block. They have several different tool tips for em, some are perfect for smoothing out and de-burring the insides of beads.
That would be awesome! I'm going to have to find some better beads though, because these ones splinter and pull hair. That's why I don't wear them. Unless, I can find a way of sanding it down really really good.
If I can, you can have the one in the pic.
I would soo trade a peyote stitch for one of these!!
I would carve the rest, and use them, but even after filing the inside, they still splinter.
Thats awesome! I love how its carved.
Just a basic wooden bead I bought at a craft store and carved and colored. I had to use round rasp to sand the splinters down on the inside.
