Yeah, I'll play around with it. I wonder if I could wash in the sink and then wander the house for a bit...or tub it. I'll try to do it longer next time and see what happens.

Baking soda is strong stuff. Personally, I feel it should only be left on a long time to soak when you're doing a deep-clean... a few minutes is fine for a normal everyday wash, it's not like there's a huge amount of dirt and grime to break down. But everyone reacts differently to baking soda, what works for one person won't necessarily be optimal for another.
