Flat dreads?

Hey i'm in the process of growing dreads naturally and was doing some research and seen a video on youtube and the guy had flat dreadlocks, It looked cool on him but I hope mine don't end up like that as it wouldn't really suit me :/ What do you guys think about flat dreadlocks? and is there anyway to stop your dreads for going flat? if your interested here is the link to the video

theres nothing wrong with flat dreads at all they will usualy round but not alwayslet em do what they wanna do most likely u wont get flat dreads but 1 or 2 might be flat or have flat spots

haha i thought u meant him hahas hes a member here toothose are congos several dreads grown together they have a greater chance of growing flatjust seperate and they wont grow together

his dreads are epic! check out the more recent vids flat dreads eventually round out for the most part. If mine are half as sick as his in 3 years i will be stoked! :o) He's got a massive beaver tail congo, which isn't for everybody so if u don't want one just keep em seperated

Yeah i know, I seen that one after I made this post, I know right hope mine come along nicely, its only been a week and im getting some little dreads forming but there abit curly haha, anyway it looks pretty cool and there pretty tight considering its only been a week :D

palm rolling will help alot mybbe adding a lil water while u palm rolland it should shape em

palm rolling doesn't do anything but press the loose hairs down and makes your hair look less ratty. i think it can actually be damaging if done to aggressively and i would imagine if you rolled over bumps it would pull hairs from the forming knots loosening it up instead.

hmm idk it helps make my flat dreads round when i do it.

yeah for a few minutes or hours maybe. flat dreads like the guys in the video are due to congos, but in most situations a flat dread would round out with time
