Coloring Dreads?

Hey all, I'm new to this site and can't stop browsing all the pictures of all the dreads ive been dreading my hair for about 3 months now but want to add some color. Wondering any tips on when/how to color my hair?

What color are you looking for? I recently dyed my entire head with Henna. It's pretty easy to use, you get REALLY great results(LOTS of varying shades of reds depending on what you mix it with), it's good for your hair, all natural... etc. I would recommend Seriously looking into Henna as an option for hair dye.Good luck!

Thanks! what happens if the dye gets stuck inside the dread? thats the only fear i have!

Whatever dye you use, rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse! Even with young dreads, you'd be surprised how much dye can get soaked up and stuck inside the dreads. So after you've rinsed like crazy and are sure all the dye is out, rinse some more, just to be safe.
