i've been excited about this dreading process, and first decided that a kit would be convenient and easy. wrong. i'm actually lucky that the interwebs confused me enough to not send the information to re-send it after i chose the wrong shipping method along with the wrong address. now i'll have that money in my account to use more organic methods, and some treats for whoever is going to create these lovelocks. i gave myself very temporary dreads in the meantime that i was waiting for my kit, not using anything but no showers and rolling/twisting my hair. that just made me want them sooner rather than later, and permanent ones. so now i am in square one, armed with the basic knowledge of starting dreads, but lacking all the information that would help this process begin. i'll poke around, i'm positive that i am not the only one that has had these questions. i have long hair, not super thick, and nothing but time to make them my babies.any tips, information or resources to any of these would be amazing.i have a good feeling i will get exactly what i am looking to find out, plus much more. =)

welcome it puts a huge grin on my face to know a typo or something saved u from that damn kitwell u know your already starting natural dreads just wash and do nothing and in weeks they start to form months they become more defines and then they last a lifestimealternately u can spend hours and hours starting them with twist and rip and help predefine the section sizes and jump start the processnatural is the most rewarding spiritual experience but if u have a job requiring a certain level of neatness then twist and rips next best way
