I use wax and I think it helps my dreads. I used to have very straight hair and it did not want to dread when I first started but the wax helped them hold together.

I am so glad I didnt use wax in the making of my dreads! Before I made my dreads I thought the only way to make them would be to buy wax and that didnt make much sense to me. I thought, if dreads are supposed to be natural then why would I want to put all these products in them? Also you said something about aloe. I have pure allow and I was wondering how I would use it in the maintaining of my dreadlocks?
Thank you for all the information

use aloe mostly to condition mature dry dreads
but for a formal events u can use it to tame frizz but since its conditioning u suee dont wanna use it for everyday frzz controll instead just ignore frizz
but for say job interviews and weddings u can use it

if your african (assume so if u use mango lime srtuff and twist) your hair absorbes it lil more its still waxx so not good to use but i believe (someone corect me if im wrong) the mango lime wax is less waxy not as thick and goopy as the other waxes
still i wouldnt use it
instead use pure aloe
or use nothing excxept when u need moisture (which will be fairly often)
