Since I can't necessarily see the back of my head, those dreads tend to get forgotten about. Out of sight out of mind I guess. Well, I recently have been loving what I feel going on back there so I just had to look. I discovered how truly gnarly things are getting! I am absolutely loving it. They are almost a month younger than the oldest ones and are showing more signs of progress. A couple factors that contribute to this, I believe, are 1) The back of my head gets the most friction from sleeping on my back and the headrest when I drive. 2) It's exceptionally challenging to T'n'R the sections on the back side so those ones didn't get nearly as tight as say the first two I t'n'r-ed in the front. I see now that it was probably better to not rip them so tight. It is an absolutely gnarly birds nest back there but I feel like that's what is required. They feel like they are loosening up and looping up. This has got to be a good sign!
