Keepind dreads dry in pool

I've had my dreads for over a year and a half now. I live in Texas so its always hot here and my daughter loves to go swimming alot. And I like to swim with her. But I get paranoid about my hair in the pool water. I'm not really worried about them getting wet so much as I am about the chlorine damaging them. My dreads dry pretty fast but it seems like the chlorine is unravelling my dreads quite a bit. So I was wondering if anyone had any idea on products or bags or something that I can put on my head when swimming haha. I've tried swim caps but they dont even fit on my head over my hair,..

I also go swimming in a pool because it gets really hot. Does this slow progress? I was under the impression swimming helped knot it. I rinse it immediately...

I rinse it out immediately when im done. Ive gone swimming befroe last year and nothing happened. But this year after ive been swimming some of my dreads have loosened and detangled at the ends. This could also maybe from jumping off the diving board idk
