I too was always in the habit of pulling my hair back for bed, I hated it down to sleep. I tried pulling it back for the first couple of months of dreading. I read on here that it helps the dreading process to keep it down while sleeping so I started leaving it down. I even tried lying on my hair so when I toss and turn it knots more. I am so glad I read that because it worked. My hair started dreading much faster. It does get easier as time goes by but just think, once they're dreaded you can tie them up to sleep again. lol.
