Neglect - 2 and a half months in - Need advice

Hi,

So I am round 2 and a half months in and I have tried washing everyway with the baking soda method.

I have tried different ratios, 10 water/1 cup baking soda etc, with different variences on that, different oils, with and without acv etc and nothing really seems to work.

I wash it usually 2 or 3 times a week and pour it over my scalp from a 3 litre bottle cut at the top.

The problem is, I NEED to rub my scalp otherwise it will look really noticeable. I have tried soaking it for 10 mins, 5 mins, 20 mins, a lot of times and it is always the same. I think I am in a hard water area.

I just need to know will this process not work If I scrub my head to get all of the gunk out? I also think I live in a hard water area. Thanks guys.

are you mixing the ac with baking soda? they need to be used seperately

are you using sea salt are you sure its baking soda not powder

u could try the locking up liquid (teatree) from www.dreadlockshampoo.com

u can scrub the scalp carefully

the more u disturb the hair the slower it dreads tho

No I am using the acv seperately

nope it is baking soda/bicarbonate of soda

I would try the shampoo from there but I am from UK it is out of my budget :)

Not really sure what to try right now, I am OK with it dreading slower, as long as it will dread eventually so if it is fine to rub my scalp then I will try to be gentle!
