locs and the rain

Hello everyone! I'd like to get some info on new locs and the rain. Mine are less th 2 weeks old, 2 washes in, locking up great in the back, little loose in the front. I live in a very rainy area, northern California (Humboldt county), and i'm not against letting them get rained on, but it can rain for days here. So I guess my real question is does a waterproof hat exist or should I get a hairdryer.

I've never heard of a waterproof hat. But there might be something. I spent 3 weeks in Ireland last year and it rains daily there. In that case, I was using a hair drier almost every day. If you do, set it on the coolest it can go, and don't blast your hair for long periods. Just do a series of short bursts once in a while. You should be ok.
