They are pretty cool about hair in Colorado, so you might be surprised, well depending on the field. An alternative to brush rubbing it just using your hand. Sometimes my scalp needs a good rubbing so I still do it and it helps my roots a bit. The hat will help a bit but when they get longer and you take it off you might look a little crazy! Ha! Honestly man don't worry about not affording products. Just be diligent on hydration and eating good foods and your hair will do what it does best.
