Water rinses between washing?

Hello.I have naturally curly hair, before I decided to start my dread journey I would rinse my hair on days in between washing, by doing so it would define my ringlets and natural curls. So being fresh to the journey I was wondering if rinsing with water inbetween washes would help tighten baby dreads, since it seemed to make it curl on itself when I wasnt trying to lock up.Do you think this will help? or hurt? or make no difference on the locking process?THank you for your time and wisdom.
